If you have a property, garage or garden to clear, the first decision may be how the waste will leave, rather than how much there is. Would you prefer a skip on site while you work, or a team to remove the items for you?
We offer both skip hire and house and garden clearances in Denbigh, across Denbighshire and in surrounding areas including Flintshire and Conwy. Here is how to decide which to ask about.
Choose a skip if you want to load as you go
A skip can suit a project that will produce waste over several days. You can work through a room, garden or renovation and load the skip as the waste appears, provided the materials are accepted and the skip is filled safely.
We offer 4, 6 and 8 yard skips. Our standard hire period is 28 days, with extensions available by arrangement for an additional weekly charge. Our [skip size guide](/blog/what-size-skip-do-i-need/) compares the three choices using rough bag estimates and project examples. You select a size and preferred delivery date through our booking form; we then contact you to confirm and take payment.
Think about access before choosing this route. The skip needs a suitable position and our vehicle needs clear access both when we deliver it and when we collect it. A driveway or other private surface must be strong, level and suitable for the weight. If the skip must go on a public road, discuss the permit with us before booking. We can arrange it as part of the booking.
Choose a clearance if you need help removing the waste
Our clearance service can be a better fit when the items are still inside the property, there are bulky objects to move, or you would prefer us to do the loading. We can clear individual rooms, garages, lofts and whole properties, as well as undertake garden clearances.
For example, a garage packed with loose items may be manageable with a skip if you can sort and carry everything yourself. If you also need furniture and other bulky items lifted out of a house, ask us about a clearance instead. We also offer bookings for individual bulky items, so a full house clearance may not be necessary.
Give us a clear picture of the job when requesting a clearance: which rooms or areas are involved, whether there are stairs, where we can park, which items should stay and whether there are any heavy or restricted materials. Before we arrive, please remove valuables and personal documents and clearly separate anything you want to keep.
What if you have soil, rubble or specialist items?
Describe those materials at the outset whichever service you choose. A skip booked for soil or rubble must contain only that material. For clearances, soil and rubble may need separate arrangements and could affect the vehicle, container and price. We also restrict certain items in our skips, including asbestos, paint, oils, gas bottles and some electrical items; please check with us about these for a clearance too.
Our [guide to what can go in a skip](/blog/what-can-you-put-in-a-skip/) is a useful starting point, but please ask us to confirm any uncertain materials before we collect them.
A simple way to decide
A skip may suit you if: you can load the waste yourself, have a suitable place for the skip, and want it available while the work continues.
A clearance may suit you if: you want us to remove items, have bulky contents inside a property, or need to clear a particular space without loading a skip yourself.
Still unsure? You do not need to settle it alone. Describe what needs to go, where it is, when you need it removed and what access is available. We can advise which service to request.
Get the job moving
For a skip, choose a size and request a delivery date. For help removing items, request a house or garden clearance. If the choice is not clear from your project, contact us before booking.
